1. Event registrations are confirmed upon receipt of payment
Event registrations submitted via online or printed form are not confirmed until payment in full is received by Upland Nature Guides. Payments are accepted via e-transfer to info@uplandnature.com unless otherwise arranged with the express consent of Upland Nature Guides. Please note the email address info@uplandnature.com uses Interac Autodeposit, so funds will be transfered immediately and no security question is required. Enter the name(s) of the registrant(s) in the e-transfer Message field. Registered attendees will receive email confirmation from Upland Nature Guides upon receipt of payment.
2. Waitlists
Registered attendees are confirmed in the same order their payments are received. When an event becomes fully booked, unconfirmed registrants may choose to: (a) register and pay in full in order to be added to the waitlist; or (b) receive a refund for any payment and cancel their registration.
When space becomes available at a fully booked event, waitlisted registrants will be added in the same order they joined the waitlist. Waitlisted registrants who are added to an event will receive email confirmation from Upland Nature Guides. Any waitlisted registrants who are added to an event less than 48 hours before it begins will have the right to decline attendance and receive a full refund. Any waitlisted registrants who remain on a waitlist and are unable to attend the fully booked event will receive a full refund.
3. Rain dates
The decision to postpone an event for any reason is made at the sole discretion of Upland Nature Guides. Events are only eligible for postponement where a rain date and notification deadline have been published in advance. When an event is rescheduled to the published rain date, notification will be sent to all confirmed registrants no later than the published notification deadline. Confirmed registrants who are unable to attend on the rain date will receive a fifty percent refund.
4. Cancellation by client
Cancellations received by Upland Nature Guides more than 48 hours before the event begins are subject to a full refund. Cancellations received between 24 and 48 hours before the event begins are subject to a fifty percent refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 24 hours before the event begins.
5. Cancellation by Upland Nature Guides
The decision to cancel an event for any reason is made at the sole discretion of Upland Nature Guides. If an event is cancelled, confirmed and waitlisted registrants will be notified as soon as possible with the option to receive a full refund. Instead of a refund, confirmed and waitlisted registrants may choose to transfer their registration to an alternate event subject to attendee limits and the approval of Upland Nature Guides.
In case of a price difference between the cancelled event and an approved alternate event, Upland Nature Guides will issue a partial refund or the client will make an additional payment as required to reconcile the amount paid by the client with the amount owing to Upland Nature Guides. If any payment is owing to Upland Nature Guides, the client’s registration will not be confirmed until this payment is received in full.
